Company Overview: Zander Holdings, is a specialty contractor focused on waterproofing, air barrier, and traffic coatings, for commercial buildings. Zander has been in business for over 40 years and has locations in Madison, Milwaukee and Minneapolis.
Job Overview: The Junior Estimator is responsible for monitoring bid invitations from a variety of sources and completing assigned bids accurately and on-time. The primary focus of this role will be on bidding new construction residential homes and small commercial projects. They will also assist with compiling bid information for existing facility projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete take-offs and calculate pricing on assigned bids
- Throughout each day, accurately update the bids due list
- Routinely report on the status of bids to the estimating team and senior management
- Review construction bulletins for potential and secured jobs to determine whether or not Zander’s scope of work is impacted
- Develop a strong understanding of waterproofing products and installation techniques
- Occasionally visit job sites to observe installation methods first hand
- Assist the operations team in reviewing plans or specifications for secured jobs
- Assist Business Development with cold calling, research, outreach, and bidding of existing facilities
Job Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of estimating experience – commercial construction industry preferred
- Ability to use estimating software tools (OnCenter, Bluebeam preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field

Salary: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
